Gift shopping for someone who works remotely, freelances or is self-employed? You’ll definitely want to check out these gift ideas for people who work from home.
It’s surreal that it’s so warm and beautiful outside in Denver mid November. The weather is making me forget that it’s almost time to start shopping for holiday gifts. With relatives and friends asking me what I want for the holidays, I started thinking about gift ideas for people who work from home!
Working from home or working remotely can be the ideal way to have a career for many people like entrepreneurs and stay-at-home parents. But in most cases, the self-employed freelancer or remote worker is expected to supply all their equipment.
Sometimes I think back to all the little things from my desk job that were provided for me….
That’s why this super awesome list of gifts ideas for people who work from home exists – to surprise your loved one with something they wouldn’t normally get themselves (and something they would probably be provided if they worked in an office!) Trust me, you’ll have a forever fan if you show up to the party with any of these:
SOMETHING TO SIT ON:
Executive Chair
They may be pinching pennies starting a business form home, so please don’t let your work from home friends and family work from an old stool they found in their garage. Gift them a grown-up and comfy Executive chair so they feel like what they really are – a boss.
…if you’re feeling fancy, this stunner would surely melt a fashionable work-from-homers’ heart (the white/natural color is beautiful).
Foot Hammock
How much fun is this thing? A retreat for the feet.
Desk Foot Rest
Did you find the Foot Hammock too casual? Someone sitting upright can still prop up their feet from home with this baby.
Posture Corrector
I used to only sit on this thing in the waiting room at my doctor’s, and I finally ordered one myself a few years back – I have had WAY less back pain and I can’t imagine not owning this. This is a great gift idea for people who work from home and have back pain.
Exercise Ball Chair
I had one of these at my desk job and miss it dearly. It’s easy to bounce around on when you’re thinking, and keeps your core strong and your back stable and awake!

Echo Personal Assistant
Amazon Echo is the ultimate work-from-home electronic that your work-from-home person may not even known they needed (but they will never know how they lived without it.) It’s voice activated, so you just holler at tge device from your desk and it acts as a personal assistant- from playing music while you work to answering questions and searching the web; it’ll even tell you the weather, read audio books, and can adjust the thermostat and lights inside your home.

My devices drain fast. This thing is incredible and I constantly have at least 2 things plugged into mine at ALL times. I’d be lost working from home without it.
Noise Cancelling Headphones
I live in Denver, and it’s experiencing a real estate boom. Yay for progress, BUT…They are building new condos next door. They were building new condos next door to my last house…It is loud and I work from home. And some days I don’t want to listen to music or have Parks and Rec reruns playing in the background. This is when I should be using noise cancelling headphones so I can focus. I can literally hear hammering as I type this. It’s on my list for my next big splurge.

I am constantly asking my partner to work out these two insane knots that hide behind my shoulder blades.I saw the inventor’s of this product- an adorable young lady (the one in the picture with the product!) and her mother – on Shark Tank, and I ordered this right away.
