Remote Work Infographic
My friends at Kinetic Innovative Staffing sent me a wonderful remote work infographic that I’d love to share with you guys. I’d like to thank them for compiling such an awesome infographic full of awesome facts about remote working.
Truly, the age of remote work has come upon us and with technology on our side, the future is bright for remote workers. In 2014, Global Leadership Summit conducted a survey which revealed that 34% of the companies who attended the event believe that half their full-time workforce would be working remotely by 2020.
So, is remote working worth the hype? Is it really beneficial to companies? How about the well-being of remote workers? Here’s a remote work infographic that will shine light to those questions and beyond.
The data from this remote work infographic shows us many things, and just makes what we do here at The Drifting Desk even more worth it. We know remote workers have a smaller carbon footprint. They aren’t in traffic, daily, and they are reducing fuel consumption. Knowing that job satisfaction increases, overall, for remote workers is another big plus for telecommuting gigs. Remote workers are more productive, engaged, healthy and happy, too! And that’s a win-win for everyone.
What is truly the most staggering to me, however, is the stats that 87% of people feel MORE connected when they are allowed to work remote! To me, this just shows that when a company understands your true needs, and gives you that flexibility in response, employees end up being more grateful and more productive, in return for the understanding the company shows them that they know and understand that remote work is better for an employee’s work life balance.
So, this remote work infographic really sums it up for us. This is the age of remote working, and remote work wins. Hopefully, this is just the beginning of a huge movement among US companies to create more jobs that allow for an employee to work remotely.
